Born in Daegu, South Korea and raised in Los Angeles, CA since she was two years old, Jeana Yejin Cho considers herself a “1.8-generation” Korean American, an identity she proudly holds as she navigates through an industry where she is not common.
Upon realizing her passion for Art Department during her first year at UCLA, Jeana started out by production designing for her friends, colleagues, and film school students. Some of the productions she has designed for have gone on to premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, Outfest LA, Dances With Films, LA Shorts Fest, Mise-en-scene Short Film Festival (Korea), and more.
Jeana has had further experience as Art Director, Assistant Art Director, Set Decorator, and Art Department Coordinator on commercials, music videos, and features as well. Recently, she has found a particular interest in Prop Fabrication and Model Making, as she loves miniatures and creating with her hands. She seeks opportunities to further develop these skills— you can check out some samples of her miniatures and fabrication work on the FABRICATION tab.
